- I
am unable to attend but I have already paid my fees, can I get a refund? Can I transfer my registration to a friend/family
member/spouse? No, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- What if
there is incorrect information on my registration (name spelling, age, etc)? The best way to handle this is by
emailing our race director to inform her of the change that needs to be made.
- I know
someone that is interested in volunteering for this event, where do they find information? Please see the Contact Us/Volunteers/Donate page for more information.
- Do I have to be a
runner to participate?
No! This event features a run and walk so people of all exercise levels can enjoy. We
do suggest
that walkers only participate in the 5K for distance and time reasons.
- Will there be a medical tent?
Yes, there will be medical staff at a
marked tent near the Start/Finish line.
- Do you allow baby joggers/strollers? Only strollers are allowed at
this event, and must start at the back of the race field. You may not run or jog while pushing a stroller during the race.
This is to ensure the safety of all participants as well as the little ones in the strollers.
- Can I run with my dog? No, we are sorry but there will be no dogs allowed on the course.
- Where and what is Corporate
Woods? Corporate Woods is an office park located in Overland Park, Kansas. It is located between
I-435, US 69 Highway, College Boulevard and Antioch Road. The address is 9401 Indian Creek Parkway, Overland Park, KS, 66210.
The race begins/ends in front of building 40. There will be signs directing you where to go for parking.
- What time
do I need to be there before the race? If you have already picked up your packet, we recommend you
arrive before 7:35 am to be ready for the race start at 8:00 am. If you need to pick up your packet, we recommend you arrive
before 7:25 am.
- Are the 10K and 5K run on different courses? No,
the 10K participates will run the 5K course twice. At the end of the 5K,
the 10K runners will move into the open lane and continue on.
- How does team registration packet pick up work? Only one person from the team needs to pick
up the packets for the whole team.
- Can I request my packet be mailed to my house? No, packets will not be mailed out.
- Can I switch events after I have already registered? Yes you can, but please remember this
switch must be made before the end of packet pick-up day on Friday, August 19th, 2011. You may switch events by sending us
an email. *Please note no refunds will be given if switching to a less expensive
event.
- Is there a time limit to the race? The course
does close at 10:30 am and will be opened back up to normal traffic. If you feel you cannot complete the 10K in 2.5 hours,
we suggest registering for the 5K.
- What can I expect from the weather? According
to weather.com:

- What if
it rains?
We will hold the race as long as conditions are safe for participants. If weather
conditions become a safety problem the race director has right to cancel the race.
- How far
apart are the water stations on the course? Approximately 1 mile
- What is
the age cutoff for the Kid’s Fun Run? Children 12 and under can run this race. In
past years the average age has been between 4 and 7 years old.
- Can my child run in both events
if I pay only pay the Fun Run fee? No. If your child is participating in the 5K/10K with you they
will need to pay the 5K/10K registration fee.
- How long is the Kid’s Fun Run? The run is about 100 yards in one of the open parking lots
near the event tables. Each child receives a ribbon for this event in their runner’s packet.
- When will the race awards be handed out?
The 5K award ceremony will be at 9:10am and the 10K award ceremony will follow at 9:30am.
